When I'm not optimizing websites, I'm tearing apart video games that were never meant to be modified. I use Claude Code — Anthropic's AI coding tool — to do deep binary analysis on games whose studios shut down years ago, cracking problems that communities have been stuck on for nearly a decade.

My most recent project solved a restriction in a classic game that no one in the modding community had been able to bypass in nine years. Previous modders found one or two of the checkpoints enforcing the lock — but there were actually 17 spread across six layers of the engine. I found all of them, patched every one, and published the mod for free on GitHub.

The post documenting the project hit 950,000+ views on Reddit's r/ClaudeAI community and was featured as a Community Highlight on both subreddits where it was shared. The most respected modder in that game's scene called it better than his own unreleased approach. People bought the game just to try it.

I don't do this for clients. I do it because understanding how systems work at the deepest level — the binary level — is what makes me better at everything else I build.

I've taken large-scale e-commerce sites from completely unusable to lightning fast. One platform with tens of thousands of products was loading in double-digit seconds — the kind of slow where customers leave and never come back. The external agency hired to fix it couldn't deliver in months of trying. I diagnosed the root cause in one evening and deployed a full fix — compiled caching infrastructure from source, replaced bloated plugins with lightweight custom code, rebuilt the entire performance stack — surgically, on a live production server, with zero downtime.
